Life is strange.
129 even, for a loss of 2.2 pounds.
In other news, look at me making promises I can't keep! Still no salad dressing recipe. I'll work on that.

Hiatus
I'm on counting hiatus. I will continue to weigh in on Saturday mornings, but until the new year I will not be posting my points.
Between my upcoming travels and the stress of the holidays, I just can't do it.
I'm torn on this issue. I feel like times of stress are when I need to count the most. I feel better when I eat better, and I eat better when I count points. But at least for right now, I need to take a break.
I'll be back! And long ago, I promised a recipe for carrot/tofu/miso dressing. I will post it later today.

Weigh-In: Week 7
131.2, a loss of 0.2, but a net gain of 0.2 from my lowest point this go-around.
(Warning: TMI ahead.)
I got my period on Friday, so that helps explain the X-TREME snacking of last week. That's something, I guess. I still find that this holiday season is kind of kicking my willpower's ass. At least I have no social engagements this week, so hopefully I'll be more on track this week. It should be easier to count points, if nothing else. It's hard at restaurants to estimate serving sizes, and since you don't know what they do in the kitchen, any points values are guesstimates.

Weigh-In: Week 6
131.4, a gain of 0.4 pounds, back up to my weight of two weeks ago.
Could it be that I have hit the dreaded plateau?
When I did WW before, I was exercising a lot. I don't really exercise at all anymore, at least not in any organized way. This is going to be a problem if I want to continue to lose (and I would like to get down to at least 125).
The coming week is filled with holiday social engagements, so we'll see how that goes.

I forgot how hard the holidays can be when you're doing WW. I had a couple of events this weekend and I dove right in with full force. I'm thinking that I'll start counting on the weekends again just to keep me a little more honest. Something about posting what I eat to this blog really does keep me from overindulging, and I might need to rely on that in the coming weeks until we're through the holidays.
Do any of you fellow WW-ers have ideas for filling breakfasts that aren't more than 3-4 points? Cold cereal does not do it for me. Oatmeal is good, but I'm getting rather bored with it.
But anyway, for today:
Breakfast
the same old oatmeal: 3
black coffee: 0 (3)
Lunch
spinach, feta, and Eggbeater breakfast burrito in whole-wheat wrap (I ate very little of the wrap part, but most of the filling): 4 (7)
small serving home fries: 4 (11)
decaf tea: 0 (11)
Dinner
roasted veggies (cauliflower, mushrooms, squash, bok choy): 2 (13)
polenta with cheese: 4 (17)
Trader Joe's ginger Cats' Cookies: 2 (19)

Weigh-In: Week 5
131 even for a loss of 0.4 pounds.
At least it was a loss. I felt really "snacky" this week, and I think Thanksgiving weekend madness caught up with me and slowed me down a bit. I see some zero point soup on my horizon for the coming week.
Probably won't count/post over the weekend.

chips: 3 (17)
2 thin slices French bread with cheese: 3 (20)
popcorn: 3 (23)

I took the day off from counting again. I'll be back in the saddle tomorrow.
Weigh-In: Week 2 REDUX
The scale mystery has been solved. I did NOT actually lose over seven pounds. I have really small tile on my bathroom floor, and the scale appears to have been reading consistently but inaccurately. I moved it to my level wood floor in my bedroom and discovered that my true weight this week is 133.6. Much more believable.

Given my startling loss, I decided not to count points today. I've eaten healthfully for the most part, but allowed myself a few indulgences, including a rather large slice of cake at a party. MMM. Delicious!
Weigh-In: Week 2
Um, this was weird. Weight this week:
128.8
So I lost 7.8 pounds?
I don't get it. I mean, on one hand, I'm glad, on the other, it seems really dramatically too much given what I ate and the fact that my clothes are still very much too snug.
I'm going to focus this week on being sure to drink enough water. I've been really bad about that.
Weird.

Weigh-In: Week 1
When I did Weight Watchers before, I did it whole-hog (so to speak). Went to the meetings every week and got weighed, wrote everything I ate down in a little journal, the real deal. This time, I'm too cheap to pay for the weekly membership and it would be hard to go to meetings with the wee ones. But I learned last time that the accountability of paying and stepping on that scale every week was big for me.
This time, I'm going to be accountable to the Internet. I used to do weigh-ins on Saturday mornings, and since I got my new scale at IKEA yesterday, it seems fitting to keep that Saturday morning ritual.
Starting weight: 136.6
This is after almost two weeks of pretty strict point-counting, but my only frame of reference for if I've lost or gained is a physical I got about a month ago. My weight then was 140, so I think I've lost about 3 pounds so far.
I'm hoping to get down to my original WW goal of 127, so less than ten pounds to go.

Because I Need Another Blog
I've decided to move all of my Weight Watchers posts over to this blog so people who don't want to ready about my points, weight, etc. can skip it. I'm considering logging my points daily in this blog, but we'll see if that turns out to be too much work.
